Congratulations to Mrs. Mandy Harris for being named Kershaw County's 1st Alternate for the 2011-2012 First Year Teacher of the Year!
Students and staff have been raising money for Relay for Life during the month of February by dropping money into a teachers jug. The teacher with the most money at the end of the month was to receive a pie in the face. Students were also able to purchase tickets to be the person to throw the pie. Jackson students and staff gathered together on February 29th to find out who was the lucky winner of the Pie in the Face! And the winner was...... Third Grade Teacher, Ms. Warren!!!!!! First grader, Tamara McVey was the lucky student to throw the pie into Ms. Warren's face! Jackson School did a terrific job raising money for this event. We look forward to seeing which teacher will be the lucky winner of the Slime War Contest at the end of April! To view pictures from the Pie in the Face event click here!
We are proud to announce the implementation of OrganWise Guys at Jackson School. OrganWise Guys is a comprehensive health education program that will be taught to all of our students. The funding for this program is made possible by the Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation.
Jackson School still has discount cards for sale. The cost is $5.00 per card. These cards have great discounts at many local establishments. If you would like to sell more cards, please notify your child's teacher and we will send you additional sheets. Thanks for your support!
Jackson School's Vision: To make it not only unnecessary, but unreasonable for any student to go elsewhwere for a "World Class Education", that we can provide, free of charge, by highly qualified professionals in a safe environment.
